Social Responsibility

Although we are a small firm we take our corporate and social responsibility seriously. We recognise we have responsibilities towards various stakeholders; our clients, our people (our team), our owners, the local community and the wider world.

We are working towards making our own business sustainable; that is meeting our present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. This is really difficult, and there is so much more we can do, but we’ve made a start. We want to work and live within our environmental limits.

• We have implemented an electronic document filing system. This means all our records are instantly available to all team members without needing to store or print paper copies every time we wish to access those records. We have a long way to go before we are paperless, but we’ve made a good start in this area.
• We recycle all we can. Unfortunately we get no assistance from our local authority so are forced to go it alone; which we do. Our team is extremely creative in this area; things like milk bottles and cardboard get taken home for collection. Of course all redundant client papers are confidentially shredded before being collected for recycling.
• We are contributing to the generation of electricity from renewable sources through solar power generated by an array of PV panels on the roof of our office. This helps reduce carbon emissions and contributes to our sustainable objectives. Click the green man to see how much we are generating at the moment (if it’s night time it won’t be much!).
• We make sure that we ‘give back’ to society by linking our leading edge services to nearly 700 causes and projects around the world. Through our giving partners, B1G1, every time a client chooses us, we save 1000m² of Rainforest. In spite of our desire to generate a paperless office, this is one way we can give back to the wider world in respect of our failure to achieve this objective just yet. And every time we prepare a piece of work for you, someone else in the world will benefit, and we let you know how. Each month team members choose the causes we support.
